Andrew Morin Wins Mighty Mike Lewis Memorial/Super Street Summer Six Pack Series Race!

Hudson, NH (June 2, 2024)- Mother Nature provided a beautiful day for racing at the Family Fun Track! On top of the 2nd race in the Super Street Summer Six Pack Series it was also the Mighty Mike Lewis Memorial race for the Northeast Auto Imports Super Streets! Also on tap were the NELCAR Bandoleros, NELCAR Legends, Granite State Indoor Gun Range Six Shooters, and MLM Diagnostic Services Pure Stocks.

NELCAR Bandoleros would be the first on the track with the 38 of Bryson Robidoux leading from green to checker for the win by almost 2 seconds. Brody Wakefield in the 04, who earlier in the day picked up the heat race win, would cross the line in 2nd with Grayson Day in the 19 in 3rd.

NELCAR Legends rolled into town 17 cars strong looking to see who can be the best. Cole Robie in the 29 would lead the first 5 laps before the 19 of Jake Monegeon would lead till lap 18. Jake Burns in the 13 would work thru the field from his 11th place starting spot and take the lead on lap 19. PJ Evans (12) would cross the finish line second! With Monegeon rounding out the podium.

Carlos Grenier (1NH) and Bobby Payne (06) took down the heat race wins for the MLM Diagnostic Pure Stock. Mackenzie Belisle led the first 10 laps of the feature race before Payne was able to get around her to run away with the win. Payne would have to handle a few restart attempts which he was successfully able to defend the win. Belisle held on to finish 2nd with Chris Quinn (76) crossing the line in 3rd. JoJo Roberts in the 08 finished 4th and Shayla Kirk in the 71 was 5th.

Granite State Indoor Gun Range Six Shoots took to the trip to gain the experience. Steve Miller Jr. (79) took the heat race win. Michael Yeaton (25) led every lap on his way to collect the win with 2nd spot would go to Steve Miller Jr. in his orange #79 and Patrick Joslin (26) made his first trip of the season to Hudson to round out the podium. Steve Miller Sr. (68) finished 4th with Trystin Bodwell brought her 17x home 5th.

Last but not least it was the Northeast Auto Imports Super Streets for 50 laps of racing for the Mighty Mike Lewis Memorial/ Super Street Summer Six Pack Series. Downtown Kevin Brown in the 49 won the first heat race with the Cabana Boy Justin Beecher driving his #57 to win heat race #2. Andrew Morin in his black #30 got to start on the pole. Morin would lead every lap of the race on his way to victory lane and the $1000 payday! The race would be slowed for one caution as the 96 of Chip Laquire would find himself facing the wrong direction on lap 41. Brown would battle hard with the 01 of Bill Helliwell on the restart but Brown would make contact with the wall causing him to pull his car off the track. Helliwell would hold on to finish 2nd. Beecher would use his ability to hang around the top 3 to capitalize on Brown pulling off the track to round out the podium. William Clement Jr. in the 33JR finished 4th and Matt Sonnhalter in the 33Vt was able to take the 5th spot.

Hudson Speedway will be back in action in 2 weeks on June 16th with the NEMA Lites joining the fun, along with Super Streets, Ridge Runners, Six Shooters, and Pure Stocks. Hot Laps start at noon and racing action starts at 1:15pm!
