Hudson Speedway – August 5th, 2025
Hudson Speedway celebrated Throwback Night on Sunday, August 3rd, 2025, honoring the rich history of the track while showcasing the stars of today across all divisions. Fans were treated to an evening packed with side-by-side racing, thrilling finishes, and nods to the Speedway’s legendary past.
The Super Streets headliner saw Charles Baldwin of Hudson, NH capture the 25-lap feature victory, besting a stacked field of heavy hitters. Baldwin, who started second, quickly established control and never looked back, holding off Corey Fanning (Mapleville, RI) in second and Austin Flanagan (Warwick, RI) in third. Local standouts John Morin (Hudson, NH) and Shawn Dionne (Nashua, NH) rounded out the top five in a feature that saw fast-paced, door-to-door racing. In the heat race, Fanning came out strong with a win, followed by Baldwin in second, proving early that the pair would be tough to beat come feature time.
The Ridge Runners feature saw Stone Slattery of Pelham, NH continue his streak of dominance with another strong win. Slattery edged out Trystin Bodwell (Sanford, ME) and Teagan Edson (Ashburnham, MA) in a race that demanded patience and consistency. Mechanical woes struck Brian Caswell (Buxton, ME), who recorded a DNF after running in contention early. Slattery also took the checkered flag in the heat race, proving his team has found the right formula for victory lane.
The always-exciting Six Shooters did not disappoint, with Michael Yeaton of Amherst, NH charging to the win in the 20-lap feature. Yeaton battled through the field to top Michael Casey (Pittsfield, NH) and Scotty Blanchard (Rockport, MA) in a competitive main event. Rookie Jeremiah Sargent (Manchester, NH) impressed with a fourth-place run, while Mike Comtois (Pelham, NH) rounded out the top five.bIn the heat race, Casey scored the early victory, but Yeaton came back strong when it mattered most to secure the feature.
The Pure Stocks put on a thriller as Jason Townsend of Nashua, NH captured the 20-lap feature, holding off Adrian Smith (Unity, NH) and Carter Conroy (Newport, NH), who stormed through the field from tenth to finish third. Mikayla Duval (Orange, MA) and Patrick Russell (Dracut, MA) completed the top five in a division that has seen a revolving door of winners this summer. Townsend also swept the night, winning his heat race to set the tone. Chris Quin (Hudson, NH) crossed the line first in the second heat but was later disqualified, shaking up the points standings.
In the Thunder Lights, it was once again Quinton Perkins of Nashua, NH parking it in Victory Lane, continuing his dominance of the division. Perkins held off Patrick Russell (Dracut, MA) in second and Emily McInnis (Hudson, NH) in third, with Alison Flecker (Bow, NH) finishing fourth. Perkins also claimed the heat race win, completing a clean sweep on Throwback Night.
Throwback Night was more than just racing—it was a celebration of the legends and memories that built Hudson Speedway into the track it is today. Fans and teams alike embraced the spirit of the evening, honoring the past while showcasing the talent of the present.
