Labor Day Thrill Show Brings Chaos and Excitement to Hudson Speedway
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Hudson Speedway – September 1, 2025
Hudson, NH – Labor Day tradition was alive and well at Hudson Speedway as fans packed the grandstands for the annual Labor Day Thrill Show. This end-of-summer spectacular lived up to its name, delivering a full afternoon of carnage, side-by-side action, and edge-of-your-seat thrills across a jam-packed lineup of races and novelty events.
The crowd favorite 4-Cylinder Enduro kicked off the major events with Alby Ovitt (#135) powering to victory over Nick Woodside (#63) and Justin Rackliff (#64) in a grueling test of endurance. The Grand Enduro for 6- and 8-cylinder machines saw Justin Harris (#29) take the checkered flag, with Steve Clark (#81) and Buddy Wilkins (#16) completing the podium.
Not satisfied with just one trophy, Harris came back in the Mixed Enduro (combining 4-, 6-, and 8-cylinders) to sweep the afternoon, earning his second win of the day. Clark again crossed the line second, with Steve Miller Jr. (#79) bringing home a strong third-place finish
The wild Figure 8 Race thrilled fans as Steve Clark (#81) survived the intersection chaos to claim the win. Pat Donnelly mastered the tight turns of the Flagpole Race, while Shane Garon (#63) drove to victory in the popular Reverse Race.
Spectators got in on the action with a 10-Lap Spectator Race won by Bob Gingras in a classic Ford F-100 pickup and Spectator Drags that saw Jared Smith wheel his Chevy Corvette to the win.
The Hudson Hornets (Ladies Division) returned with a spirited race that saw Callie Osborne (#59) take top honors over Mikayla Duval (#24) and Shari Littlewood (#37).
In the Pro V8 feature, it was Mitch Wendell (#21) taking the win ahead of Sammy Peabody (#91) and Bob Crawford (#42).
For the always-entertaining Hippos (Minivan Division), Adam Perkins (#87) outlasted the field to grab the win, followed by Miller Jr. and Wilkins.
As tradition dictates, the night closed with the legendary Car Jump Contest, leaving fans cheering and laughing as drivers launched their machines skyward. The competitors put on a show, but it was the crowd that walked away the big winner of the night.
