HUDSON INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY UNVEILS ALL NEW "LEGACY SERIES"

    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Hudson, NH - 3/24/2026 — As Hudson International Speedway prepares to celebrate its historic 80th season, a brand-new tradition is set to take center stage in 2026.

Introducing the Legacy Series — a three-race championship designed for the speedway’s premier Open Street Stock division, bringing added intensity, strategy, and prestige to some of the biggest events of the season.

Built as a tribute to the great names that helped shape Hudson International Speedway, the Legacy Series proudly honors the past while creating something meaningful and prominent for today’s competitors and for generations to come.

The Legacy Series will feature three marquee races, each with its own unique format, challenging drivers to adapt across different styles of competition:

The series kicks off on June 7th with Hudson’s newest Open Street Stock crown jewel — the Choppy Baldwin Memorial. This event will be a straight-up, no-nonsense 50-lap feature, putting endurance and consistency to the test right out of the gate.

Round two takes place on July 12th with the return of the famed Mighty Mike Lewis Memorial. This fan-favorite event will once again feature Twin 25-lap races, with an invert and best overall finish determining the winner — demanding both speed and strategy from competitors.

The final and deciding race of the series will be held on October 11th with the prestigious Pete Fiandaca Open — Forever Alive 135. This event will be a triple-segment showdown (50/50/35 laps), featuring an invert between each segment and an overall finishing position used to crown the race winner and ultimately, the Legacy Series champion.

Each Legacy Series event will pay $1,000 to the winner, raising the stakes every time the Open Street Stocks hit the track.

At the conclusion of the three-race series, the Legacy Series Champion will earn an additional $1,000, with the top five in overall points receiving payout. Drivers must compete in all three events and attend the end-of-season banquet to be eligible for series payout.

“The Legacy Series is something we’re really excited about,” said General Manager John Esburnett. “It’s three completely different race styles that will truly test who the best of the best are in our Open Street Stock division. You won’t be able to win this without being well-rounded.”

With varying formats, increased stakes, and three of the most meaningful races on the schedule, the Legacy Series is set to become a must-watch battle throughout the 2026 season and many more to come.

Fans can expect high drama, intense competition, and unforgettable moments as drivers chase one of the most unique honors Hudson has to offer.

Three races. Three legends. One name that carries the past into the future.
