Fanning, Curtis, Quin, Comtois, Perkins and Dunn Highlight Mother’s Day at Hudson

HUDSON, NH - 5/11/2026 — After an exciting Opening Day to kick off the 80th season, Mother’s Day Mayhem at Hudson Speedway saw the momentum shift, with several new winners finding victory lane while others continued to stay hot early in the year. The debut of the Ladies Acceleration Tour added another highlight to an already action-packed afternoon.
After Opening Day winner Max Dolliver set the tone to start the season, Corey Fanning made sure Sunday belonged to him. The Rhode Island driver went wire to wire in the 25 lap Feature to pick up his first win of the 2026 season. The Street Stock field continues to grow week by week and the competition is getting fierce, as shown by an intense battle among the top three throughout the closing laps. Second place came down to a photo finish, with Andrew Gillis edging out Dolliver, who backed up his Opening Day victory with another strong run in third.
After winning on Opening Day, Steve Miller Jr. once again found himself at the front of the field early, but it was Chase Curtis who took control on Mother’s Day. Curtis swept the heat and dominated the 25 lap feature to pick up the win, while Miller Jr. settled for second and Chris Curtis completed the podium in third.
After Shayla Kirk opened the season in victory lane, Hudson’s Chris Quin flipped the script on Mother’s Day. Quin drove to the front to capture his first win of the season, holding off Kirk who finished a strong second. Michael Yeaton added another podium to his weekend with a third place finish.
The Six Shooters delivered the finish of the night. Michael Yeaton put on an unbelievable drive, charging from last to first and appearing to have the race won coming off turn four. In a heartbreaking turn, Yeaton’s right front tire came off in the final stretch, allowing his teammate Mike Comtois to slip by and steal the win at the line. Somehow, Yeaton kept control and crossed the stripe in second on just three tires in one of the most memorable finishes Hudson Speedway has seen in years. Richard Marrocco completed the podium in third.
Quinton Perkins proved Opening Day was no fluke. After winning week one, Perkins returned to victory lane again on Sunday, charging from third to take control of the 15 lap feature. Emily McInnis continued to impress with a second place run, while rookie Bentley Covey remained consistent with another podium finish in third.
The Ladies Acceleration Tour made its Hudson Speedway debut in impressive fashion, and it was Delaney Dunn who rose to the occasion. Dunn swept the day by winning both the heat race and the 25 lap feature, showcasing speed and consistency throughout. Cathy Hubble drove to a strong second place finish in the feature, while Jody Rose completed the podium after turning some of the fastest laps of the race. Ashleigh Morrill and Julie Ridley rounded out the top five, while Emily McInnis showed toughness despite early issues.
Mother’s Day Mayhem showcased exactly what Hudson Speedway is all about, competitive racing, unforgettable moments, and a season that is already shaping up to be unpredictable week to week.

Hudson Speedway returns this Sunday, May 17th with the Backyard Bash. The NEMA Lite Midgets will headline the afternoon with a 50 lap feature, joined by the Ridge Runners in the first leg of the Ridge Runner Triple Threat Series, along with the 603 Super Mini Cups, Crown Vics and Pure Stocks.
